Since upgrading to XP SP2 my upload speed has deteriorated considerably.
Anything larger than 100KB usually won't even make it out (as an FTP upload
or an email attachment). It doesn't seem to be my ISP since other computers
on the same network work fine. I've tested both a direct ethernet connection
and wireless and both have similar results (via cable modem). However, when I
connect to a remote site via VPN, I have no problem uploading large (many MB)
files. This has me baffled .. I've disabled my firewalls and virus
protection, and that seems to have no effect. Because it works fine using
VPN, I'm thinking that something in the SP2 upgrade has affected the default
high-speed connections.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
....scott
