Slow typing and browsing

Don Muck

I have W98se. After upgarding to ie6, certain web sites
respond extra slow to the point of unusable. When
filling in forms I can finish typing and just sit and
watch the characters appear on the screen. Scrolling
becomes very slow. Other web sites are fine. If I bring
up Netscape 4.7 on the web site that is slow on ie6 it
works fine.
I have a DSL connection. I have tried to use the repair
function. I have spybot and checked for unwanted adware
etc. I've cleaned the disk, defragged and have 10Gb free.
Any suggestions on why this occurs - should i go back to
5.5?

Hi Don - Give this a look. In IE, Tools|Internet Options|General Tab click
on Accessibility then uncheck "Format documents using my style sheet"
