Slow Start up and device drivers

My PC started to take forever to restart (45minutes). I checked Control
Panel/ System/Device Manager/System Devices and found 8 devices with the
message "No drivers are installed for this device" They are:DMA Controller,
Firmware Hub Device, Motherboard Resources, Numeric Data Processor,
Programmable Interupt Controller, System Board, System Speaker & System
Timer. I don't know if this is the root of the problem but if it is, what do
I do?????

Try unplug pc,remove battery, locate the CMOS jumper pin and move from 1-2
to 2-3 position for .30 seconds or so,then back to 1-2 position,replace
battery,
start pc.Once started, you'll need to reset basic BIOS settings,date/time/etc.
You might update BIOS after.Once thru,in xp open device mgr, scroll to system
devices,R.click on each one of youre list, select, update, let it run in
auto.Once
thru, close out device mgr. Also, before you update in device mgr,you should
get the latest chipset installation utility from the mfg....

Download and run Everest http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html
Motherboard / Chipset find out what you have, and google the results,
or follow the links given at the bottom of the device descriptions.

It's a start.

Well, well - Andrew E.'s famous "clear the CMOS" wacky advice. Warning:
