slow pages access and timed out

Hello,

My web pages navigation is being very slow, sometimes
takes long time to access the site, then suddenly the page loads.
The IE is triggering 20 connections tried with 2, 6, 10, 1 but makes
no difference.

I also have time outs downloading emails....

I'm under win xp IE 6, adsl 256 kb connection...

Any help please?

spybot safer-networking.org
update before scan

I'm absolutely clean. Have spybot up to date, scan everyday and even
have tea timer (live protection) No spyware.

Im sure that's not the reason...
