When using internet explorer browser on AOL, or the AOL
browser, the cursor is slow to change from one type to
another. When trying to type into a field, the cursor
takes about 2 seconds to change to an edit cursor, and
after clicking the field, the vertical edit line doesn't
appear for about 2 seconds, then doesn't start blinking
for about 4 seconds. Upon typing, letters do not appear
for several seconds. You can watch the edit line jump
ahead letter by letter but no letters appear until the
edit line is at the end of the text. Entering data into a
search field can take half a minute!
Typing into AOL screens and AOL email is ok.
To solve this problem, I have upgraded IE 3 levels, ,
reinstalled Windows 98 (no reformat), upgraded AOL two
levels, upgraded and downgraded Java2RE, all to no avail.
I hope somebody has an answer before I have to reformat my
hard drive.
