It means you are running a Windows 3.1 application on Windows XP,
presumably, since you posted to the XP group.
If it is just this progam then it is the program at fault, otherwise it is
something wrong on the system.
You can run a program Spybot - Search & Destroy (just search the Internet
for it), to see what kind of spyware/adware there is. All of it is bad, so
it shouldn't be there.
Have the program backup all the bad files before you go off and have it
remove them. That way if it was something important, for example new.net
will kill your internet connection if you remove it improperly [and S&D will
remove it improperly] (check
www.cexx.org to see what they say about
removing new.net, or contact new.net tech support, they will tell you how to
remove it), you can put it back and remove it correctly.
