Slow boot, possibly due to recent Window update?

My comp used to boot up very quickly however I went to use it yesterday and
noticed it was on the login screen meaning it had been rebooted after a
Windows automatic update. Now when I reboot I get that black XP screen with
the blue bar that moves then it goes black for about a minute before the
account logon screen comes up. XP runs fine after that. There was an update
to my comp last night so I'm wondering if this is what caused it. I did
change my RAM timings the day before, i bouth XMS memory and changed the
timings to the proper 2.5 3 3 6 timings but i have since changed it back to
default and it is still slow.

So far I have used system restore to a few days before, still slow
Ran bootvis optimizer, still slow
Ran bootlog XP, shows bootup took 139 seconds total. I can post more detail
on this when i get home.
Ran microsoft antispyware and AVG antivirus (both up to date), still slow

I am going to try to uninstall the update today and see if that helps but
since the system restore didnt help i dont think removal will either. Bootup
is considerably slower than just a week ago. Any ideas?

I got it. It seems my printer driver got corrupted somehow. I reinstalled
and my boot times are back to normal.

I found it by looking at the device manager and saw a yellow ! next to USB
mass storage device.
