Slideshow: wmv, Flash, or javascript?

I have lots of viewers with dial-up. Most have fairly recent editions of
Windows & IE, just slow connections. To build a slideshow--
1. Which is best: wmv, Flash, or javascript?
2. How should I format the photos (besides being the same size)?
Are there other considerations that I'm overlooking?
Thanks for your advice!

imho, for your situation, javascript.
Because it's client side, and the images will be loaded as called by the script.

As for the photos, use an image editor ( the free IrfanView for example ) and
make the images the height and width you want using Resize/Resample, and then save them at
75% quality to reduce the file size.
