Slide Libraries and PowerPoint Professional

Hi,
I'm trying to upload slides to a MOSS slide library. I have Office
Professional 2007 (RTM) installed. When I click the Publish Slides button I
get a message saying "This feature requires Microsoft Office PowerPoint
Professional".

Does anyone have any suggestions?

At least you got an error message that explains the problem -- I just got
something cryptic and spent the last few days figuring out what the deal is,
and to tell the truth, I'm still not positive about the slide libraries and
am still trying to find out. Unfortunately, your error message might not be
quite as accurate as it should be. But I'm not sure.

If you downloaded your RTM version from MSDN, then you are indeed using
"plain ol'" Pro, as that's the version available on MSDN so far.

If you look at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/suites/FX101635841033.aspx
.... I believe that the slide libraries feature isn't available in all
versions of the Office suites and that you need Office Professional Plus,
Enterprise, or Ultimate to use them. I'm guessing that Slide Libraries fall
under "Advanced Information Rights Management and Policy Capabilities," but
again, still trying to get that confirmed.

Pro Plus and Enterprise are volume licenses; the only retail license in the
bunch is Ultimate.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/suites/FX101678741033.aspx So, unless you
work for a company that has a volume license for Pro Plus or Enterprise, you
will have to purchase Ultimate in order to get this functionality.

That's my best guess. I will post here if I find out anything definitive.
