Slide color transition grayscale to color

I received a PPS that shows some beautiful flowers. On one slide, the flower
appears in greyscale, then slowly changes to the normal brilliant color. I've
looked at the animation, and all I can see is "npo000004". Web searches don't
show this anywhere.

Can someone explain what's happening here? It's an effect I'd like to use on
occasion.

Here's one way to do it:

Insert your color pic
Copy & paste to get second copy
With new copy use picture toolbar to set to greyscale
Place grey image over colour
Give top image a very slow fade exit animation

Now that's what I call a fast reply. I think it took about a minute. Thank
you very much Dick. I'm sure that will work. What threw me was the odd
number. After posting the question I saved the show in HTML format, and found
that he appears to have used four images in this order...

image003.jpg (color)
image004.jpg (grey)
image005.jpg (color)

Also works if the color is on top and has an entrance fade in! - "Dick"

Great point. Thanks again. I just did it your way and it looks great. I
notice that if the slides don't perfectly align you could end up with a
headache while viewing it. <s>
