I'm using PP 2000. After inserting images and saving. the next day I open the
file and my pictures have changes from a normal picture to a hot pint color.
the white color stays white, the black stays black colors close to white
changes the aqua, and all other colors turn to a hot pink. The funny thing is
not all slides are affected, and not all pictures on the effect slides
change. for example: the slide I'm looking at has a image for a background,
text, and 8 images. 6 of the images are now hot pink. Does anyone have any
ideas why this is happening? Does anyone have any quick fixes for change the
pictures back to normal.

Matthew,

2 things....

1) update your 'graphics card driver'

2) where did the images come from?

cheers

TAJ Simmons,
One picture I played with was a jpeg. I changed the compression of the jpeg,
I changed the resalution, and I save as the image to tiff in photoshop. then
i whet to powerpoint and inserted image from file they all came in as hot
pink.
When I save as the image to bitmap, the picture comes in fine. I'm not sure
what else works and does not work.

I started to think this was not a file problem when I opened four other
files and got the same problem. I then went to other desktop computers in my
office, all four, "in theory," identical machines and two had pink images and
the other two open the file with no problem. I also tried a laptop and it was
pink. One of the IT guys at my office took it to his machine and said he had
no pink Images.

1) update your 'graphics card driver'
drives or monitors can't explain how only a few images are changing
color and in different locations on the screen.

2) where did the images come from?
they came from digital cameras or the internet.

thanks for the ideas!
does anyone have any others?
does anyone have the same problem?

Thanks,
Matthew
