Sky Anytime application error

Have installed Sky Anytime on XP SP2 and when trying to invoke application I
get 'Application error' with no codes. Sky inform me that they are aware of
problem but suggested contact MS as the problem is the Windows registry
performance counter libraries are corrupt or another application has manually
disabled it. I have tried everything within my limited capabilities so any
help would be appreciated.

Detailed error messages are logged and can be viewed using Events
Viewer. Click Start button > Run > type "eventsvwr.msc" (no quotes) and
click OK. In the left pane select "Applications" category. Look in the
right pane for errors (red X) and warnings (yellow !). Select one and
the detailed event dialog will be displayed.

If you find the Sky Anytime error post the message here. In the meantime
you could also try posting to the forum below.

I'm curious about one thing here. How do you suppose Sky is so sure that
the problem is in the Windows Registry if the application is returning
an ambiguous error message?

Thanks for your response Mark I'll try that. Your guess is as good as mine
how sky assume it's a registry problem.

It appears to me that the program updater attempted to access a URL path
was not found by the server. See "Event Source" line and the Exception
"message" line "(404) not found".

I would try to disable the auto update for the program if you can. Then
go to their web site and see if they have an update that you can
manually download and install.

Thanks Mark, Unable to disable the updater even by firewalling it looks
like waiting for Sky to sort out an update but your help is appreciated.
