sites and services replication suggestions

Our network is setup with 8 sites. 1 is the main site (corporate location)
the other 7 are field sites all connected to the main site with a VPN
connection. At each site we have a domain controller and GC. Also our
network topology is setup where Corp can route to all sites and all sites
can route back CORP but field sites can't see or route to field sites no
network connection. Our current site replication topology is having
problems replicating from site to site. I would like to redesign it so
replication is efficient and doesn't fail. I would like someone's expert
recommendation on what I should do. What my thought is to manually create
connection from CORP to all field sites and from all field sites to CORP and
remove any automatically created connections or manually created connections
form field site to field site.

This is a Windows 2003 AD environment.
This network topology is also new because before all sites would be able to
see all sites

Thank you,

JC

Hi Cary,

Yes I have looked at it and currently studying it. But what I'm facing is
that all the ground work is already done for the sites except the sit links
they are all using the defaultsite. And the network topology changed where
all the field sites do not see each other but only the main site (HUD SITE)
This paper is great but certain steps are already in place. Do you
recommend that I do only the steps needed. Is it necessary to disable ISTG,
KCC or can I skip those steps and just manually create the connections from
the field to the hub site and create site links for each site and place the
DCs from each respective site into the site link along with the HUD DC
servers.
