On February 28th I had a PET scan to check the results of my treatment.

Today I saw my consultant at Guys Hospital where he told me the scan found no traces of cancer.

He also visually inspected my throat and told me all looks good.

So I think I'm finally going to allow myself the luxury of saying 'I'm cured', this time without any doubts.

I also saw the dietician who told me to eat more, in particular eat more fruit and veg. When this thing started I weighed 12 stone (168lbs). I now weigh 10st 9lbs (149lbs).

So it's time to put some weight back on. I had actually got back to about 160lbs but all the worry over the last 16 days waiting for the PET scan results caused me to lose weight again.

I was diagnosed with Cancer 1 year and 1 day ago, it really hasn't been much of a fun ride.

To everybody here who has supported me in that time I sincerely and from my heart thank you.

I feel really really good right now

Am I going out this evening to celebrate? You bet I am

As for your dietitians advice, I whole heartily agree ... you were only a sixpence to a shilling to start with ... so gaining a few pound should see you looking better, as well as feeling better.
