SIMS 2 INSTALLATION

Okay, I had to restore my Dell a few days ago, so I had TRY to reinstall Sims
2. When I was installing it the first time, something happened where I had to
restart my computer when it wasn't even finished with the 2nd disc. When I
booted back up I tried the installation again and it does okay until I have
to put in Disc 2, and it says "23% done" and it will not go any farther than
that. And I click on the load screen a bunch of times and it tells me the
program is not responding. I have tried numerous times to remove the part of
the program that did load but it won't let me do anything where it says
"change/remove". I really dont think its the game cuz it was fine before.
Hopefully someone can help me because I am going INSANE without Sims 2!!!!
Help PLEASE!!!
Thanks---
Denise

Hi Denise,

Here's how to uninstall a game when using Add-Remove programs fails:

Step A: Start your computer in Safe Mode by holding down the F8 key.

Step B: Reinstall the game to the same folder it was installed to originally,
and then try to uninstall it again using Add-Remove programs. If
that fails, delete it's folder and any save games in My Documents.

Step C: Install and Run Regcleaner and if it finds any stray registry keys for the
game, delete them: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download460.html
