Hi. I'd like our company logo to appear in our email signature for outgoing
emails, could I place the image on a server and link to it so its not
embedded in every email taking up space? any tips on how to do this also
would be much appreciated. thanks.

Unless you embed it or the server is available from the Internet, your
recipients won't be able to see it. Even if it is available, their clients
can block access to it. Signature images don't add to the information
conveyed in a mail message. Don't include them. Include the company name,
sure, but not the fluff.

thanks for the answer Brian. I agree with you but my bosses want the logo on
the emails so thats what i gotta do. I'm trying to think of the best way to
do this while considering using as little space as possible, its just not
practical to have an image in the signature of every internal email. do you
think using a disclaimer is the best solution?

I photoshopped our logo into a 17K gif, it looks good and does't take up that
much room. If the server can't handle that, inform bosses you need more
hardware and the enterprise version of exchange.

In actuality, case law finds that disclaimers aren't work the paper they're
printed on in protecting the company from lawsuits. However. All of the
outgoing mail for out company has a text disclaimer added by the server (not
the client).
