signature error message when forwarding or replying in OL 2003

I used to use a signature when I composed, replied or forwarded a message. I
have gone into tools/options/mail format and chosen "none" in Signature for
new messages and "none" for Signatures for replies and forwards and now when
I reply or forward a message, I get a Microsoft Office Outlook error message,
"The signature (none) could not be located. This signature may have been
removed." How do I configure the settings or what do I need to do to turn
this off. It is very annoying and time consuming!

Thanks

Does it say "none" or "<None>"? It should be the latter.
