Side pane search IE7 on left

Can anyone tell me how to get left side pane with ANY search engine to work
that will open retrieved list within same pane following search and open web
page in main pane when hyperclicked? Like it was in IE6... If I can't have
this feature in IE7 I would like suggestions for next best browser and I am
switching. THANKS.
