Shutting down XP with Outlook 2002

Neil Smith

Dear All,
I did not have this problem with earlier versions of Outlook. When I
shut down XP, I now have the extra operation of closing Outlook XP. Is there
away of configuring Outlook XP so that it will shut down, assuming that
there is nothing requiring saving, with the rest of windows?
Thanks
Neil

No. Outlook must be shut down prior to shutting down Windows.

And there is no way of circumventing this?
None that anyone has found.

Is it really that hard to click on the "X" in the top right corner of
the Outlook window?

No other Microsoft Office application has as many hooks into other portions
of Office/Windows as Outlook either.
