Shutdown screen probs yet

When I click on the "Shut Down... in the start menu in my WinXP machine I
still get the little window with the drop-down list instead of the 3 button
window (Stand By, Turn Off, Restart) that I used to get. Can someone give
me instructions on how to change back to that 3 button window? TIA

Go to Control Panel and double click User Accounts.
Click on Change the way users log on or off.
Put a check mark in the box next to "Use the Welcome screen".
You can also check "Use Fast User Switching" if you want.
Hit the Apply Options button.

See what happens now when you go to shut off your computer.

Good luck

Thanks, Nepatsfan. That did it. What advantage is there to putting a
checkmark in "Fast User Switching..." ?

You're welcome. Thanks for letting us know you were able to fix the problem.

As for your question, Fast User Switching is a feature that allows multiple
users to be logged on at the same time. This can be useful when two or more
people share a computer. It allows users to switch between accounts without
having to close applications and log off. For more info, take a look at this
Microsoft article.

Hi, Kelly.

I watched the first three quarters. Looks like your Saints and my Patriots
are using the same playbook. Lots of scoring, not a lot of defense. Both
teams have got a lot of work to do if they're going to make the playoffs.
Good luck Sunday against Tampa Bay.

Hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
