Show Desktop shortcut

The 'show desktop' shortcut in the system tray of my
taskbar is not working. I get a message "The 'Show
Desktop.scf' that this shortcut refers to has been
changed or moved and will no longer work". How can I
restore the shortcut?

See if you can find other copies on your system. I have four on mine. If one is corrupt the others may not be.

You may be able to extract one from your OS disk.

Click Start, Run and type these commands:

regsvr32 /i shell32
-and-
regsvr32 /n /i:U shell32
