Should upgrade to XP from 98SE?

I have used XP Professional about three (3) weeks - 10 to 14 hours a day and
I am RETURNING to W98SE . . this weekend.

Why not try Windows 2000? Much better than 98.

With the NTFS File system, it freezes up just as much as previous with
FAT32.

Then it's not the file system. It could be a driver or a program.

NO Scandisk.

It's now called chkdisk.

Won't Defrag a floppy.

I didn't realize a floppy could fragment enough to become a problem. They
usually run out of space first.

Folders are HELL to Locate.

That's because you didn't take the time to learn the new directory layout.
MS has simplified it much more.

OE 6 is . .almost useless: at least 350 error reports have been sent to
Microsoft in the past SEVEN (7) days. (NO FIX YET).

What are the errors? Try posting them to an OE related newsgroup.

In MY opinion: XP is NOT worth the time/aggervation NOR THE BUCKS.

I've had it for 15 months, only crash twice, and I've had almost no problems
with it.
Make sure all your drivers and programs are up-to-date.

It was indeed . . . an "eXPerience". Not one I would want to repeat.
