Is there a solution to the following scenario either by using Group Policy or
whatever best case solution is?
Scenario:
Start Menu has a folder named Apps, under this Apps folder is the shortcuts
for all the apps, no shortcuts on desktop. When applications are packaged or
re-packaged shortcuts are installed to this location as part of the MSI.
Management now wants shortcuts on the desktop as well, shortcuts copied to
\documents and settings\all users\desktop. There are thousands of PC's that
have shortcuts under Start Menu\Apps and not on the desktop.
Question:
Is there a way through group policy or some other way of copying the
shortcuts to the all users\desktop location?
Thanks,
Gordon
