ShortCut menu option problem

R

Rajiv Bhavsar

In 'My Computer', when I right click an Icon and the short cut menu options
open up , I find 'search' as the first option instead of 'Open'. Therefore
whenever I double click an Icon the 'search' window opens up instead of the
file/folder opening up.

How do I change the menu options so that 'open' is the first option.

Thanks.

That right click menu is called a context menu.

Click Start | Run and type or copy/paste this command:

regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

Click OK

This problem occurs when you alter the "Drive" / "File Folders" entries via
File Types dialog.
