shift-tab command does not work

shift-tab command does not back up cursor.

This is especially annoying when working with outline format.
Please help

It is possible you have cleared the Set first- and left-indent with tab and
backspace check box. It is located in the AutoCorrect Options dialog box in
the AutoFormat As You Type tab (Tools menu in Word 2003; Office Button, Word
Options, Proofing, AutoCorrect Options in Word 2007). Check it and click OK.

Thank you. I do have word 2007. I found the "set left- and first
-indent..." box under the AutoFormat As You Type tab in AutoCorrect Options.

This service has been extremely helpful... I will be back
