Nope - although I am a tad bit crabby right now. (Just did my taxes and am
getting hosed by the government for taking my own money back out of my
401K.)

I'm a Golden Delicious or possibly a Fuji fan. Maiden name was Stayman.

I hate paying taxes on my refunds to me that seems absurd.

I hate having gone from a $1200 refund to a $300 one just because part of my
income was from a 401K account that was almost all of MY contributions, very
little from the company. I paid taxes on it but I STILL took an $800 hit.
Oh, the reason I cleared out my 401K - because I don't have a full-time job.
Sux, huh?

Okay - enuff venting. Dubya ticked me off earlier today and now the IRS. God
bless America.

Well, can't improvise (IRS doesn't like that), can't adapt (although I do
vote), and can't overcome because taxes are one of the two sure-fire things
that will happen to us.

Bummer!

Nope. 55. Just read it in the newspaper about 3 weeks ago. If you should
*terminate* employment for any reason and want to withdraw your funds, no
penalty.

We checked with our 401k admin people also, and they verified that if you
terminate employment you can withdraw without penalty. It may be specific
to certain 401k plans, but I don't think so.
