Sharing Favorites by mapping drive

I have 2 XP computers using the Favorites from "Master" computer thru
mapping - no problem.
I have just added a third computer and changed the location in the "Shell"
part of the Registry to the mapped drive.
Problem is (and I have had this before) that the "Shell" in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER always reverts back to original address. The change in the
"Shell" of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE always holds the change OK.
Help please.

Thanks all. Resolved.
I was changing the "shell" on both, but omitted to change "user shell".
