You'll need a trust relationship between the domains to add the Domain Users
global group from each domain to the other's Domain Users local group. This
way the 'everyone' group wll suffice. Of course, if you want greater
security, you'll need to lock it down further.

If you don't want a trust, you can create duplicate names on each domain
with duplicate passwords for each user, so individually they can get to the
other domain's resources.

A trust in this case across routers between two different domains in
different forests will require WINS.

Single sign on is a feature that allows you to just sign on once, and have
access to anything your user account has been given permission for. Not sure
if there are any docs on this other than marketing material.

Like I said, just create duplicate user accounts that have the same
passwords on both domains if you don't want to use trusts.

May I ask why you cannot create a trust?
