Shading Template

K

Katie

I have created a template, in which most of the information is
protected. There are two tables from Excel that I pasted into my word
document, which have certain cells unlocked for the user's entry. I
want these unlocked cells to be shaded gray, for a visual for users to
easily identify the areas where they need to enter information.
However, I do not want the shaded area to appear when the document is
printed.

Any solutions that I don't know of out there?

Use conditional formatting on the cells, Katie. That way, you can set it
something like "if the cells are empty, show gray fill, otherwise, show
white fill"
