Shading Cells

When I highlight the cells on the spreadsheet and change the shading (color)
it will not appear on the screen. When it is printed out however, it prints
the shaded areas.

Can someone tell me how to correct this so I can see the shading on screen?

If you right click on the highlighted cells, choose Format Cells, then click
on the Patterns tab. Once you choose the color, click OK, and the color
should automatically appear on the sheet. Either that, or highlight your
cells, then choose Format from the menu bar, and then choose Cells. Once
you've chosen your color, again, it should appear on the sheet.
These are the most common way to shade cells, but if you are using a
different method, try this one and see if it works.
If the problem still exists, you may have formatted your cell color in
another way that does not allow you to see the shading.
