Sfc want the original i386 file, not there service pack files?

Sfc want the original i386 file, not there service pack files? Is
this normal?

I did a clean install using xp sp1
then I installed xp sp2.

SFC needs the Windows-CD regardless if you installed a SP or not. Not
all system files are included in the SP, so there is still a need for
to insert the CD. (Also this may have the purpose to verify your
Windows license.)
