SFC SCANNOW - System File Check Problem

Often when i run SFC /SCANNOW in
pc with WIN XP HOME, usually i get the
error:

Wrong CD or similar. if i click DETAILS it tells:
"cd unit errors or windows 2000 insered disk)

1) windows xp home is updated to sp2 + updates
2) from dos using ver i get build 2600
3) i tried to edit the registry to get the sourcepath in c:\i386 avoiding
the CD reading error

something has the same problem?
Some solution?
