Hi all!
I am currently having a problem installing some of my
computer games on Windows XP. I was having several
problems before, so I formatted my hard drive and
reinstalled XP. Since then, about half the games I've
tried installing will not load properly. They will get to
their installation menu, but when I click on install, both
of my CD-Rom drives will just read the CDs endlessly and
Windows Task Manager shows me that installer.exe is not
responding. I then try to explore the CDs and run the
setup.exe instead, but the results are the same, the CD-
Roms read endlessly and setup.exe does not respond. The
only thing I can think of now is to load the CD onto
another computer and then transfer it to this one and
install from the hard drive. I would prefer not to have
to resort to this method on a constant basis. Does anyone
out there have any ideas for me? (Other than stop playing
those addictive games!)
Thanks!
Lance
