Setup cannot find XP

I had a BSOD and cannot reboot. I decided to go for a repair install but
Setup cannot find XP on my PC.
I have tried to use bootcfg on the recovery console to fix the boot.ini but
setup still\fails to see my XP installation.
I have XP home.

Any suggestion before go nuts?

If you are not using a drive overlay, then;
Go back into the Recovery Console and run Chkdsk /r.
Then FixMbr and fixboot.
