Setup additional mass storage driver at setup time

B

Brian

I am performing a new install of W2K and want to use my
Promise raid functions on the motherboard. (gigabyte)
I hit F6 when setup begins so I get prompted to insert a
disk for additional drivers.
When it asks I confirm I want to add drivers by
hitting "S".

At that time I get an error:
"An unexpected error (0) occurred at line 962 in
D:\nt\private\ntos\boot\setup\oemdisk.c."

I have not encountered this before D: is my cd rom drive
is assume.

any insight into what causes this would be appreciated.
I could not find the error on the knowledge base.

Brian,

Do you have a floppy disk or LS-120 drive connected to your computer? If
so, that can cause this error. See:

242526 LS-120 Drive Is Not Supported During Text-Mode Portion of Setup
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=242526

Otherwise:

1) check the boot order of devices in your BIOS
2) Verify that the OEM driver disk is valid and readable (re-create if
necessary)
