Setting up a network Windows 2000 & Windows XP

Well after having my network thing setup with two
computers Win98 and XP. It used to work fine. Now I
upgraded my Win98 computer to Windows 2000 pro. So I re-
created the floppy from WinXP (netsetup.exe thingy) and
put it in Win2k. But Win2k gives me a error message that
this is not supported by Win2k. It says it's supported by
Win98, Win98se, Win ME and WinXP. And win2k isn't listed
on the error log thingy. So win2k dosen't take the floppy.
I thought Win2k was one of the best OS by Microsoft. Am I
missing something here? I tried setting up a network
through Win2k, but couldn't after messing around with it
for 3 weeks. Can you guys please help me out. It is using
the wire that directly connects both of the computers. When
I turn on both of the computers the connection log thingy
pops up. Connection 1 is enabled and working but how do i
set it up sp i can access each others computers files from
the other computer. I do have the my documents and some
other folders saved as "sharing enabled on both machines
but nothing shows up on my network places.

Me Too!

I'm having almost the exact same problem. I created the netsetup.exe program on a jump drive, but when I put it into my Win 2000 computer, it says "The Network Setup Wizard is supported only on Windows 98, 98SE, ME, and XP. Instructions for configuring a network for other operating systsms can be found in the help files in those systems."

What gives?!?!?!

I'm SO close to having this network up. All I want to do is share my printer through my linksys wireless router, and everyone says that the easiest way is to set up a home network...but it won't let me! The Win 2000 computer is wired directly to the router and also has the Epson Stylus C62 plugged into it. I would like to be able to print from my Win XP PRO laptop and also an older Win 98 computer. But, I guess I need a network and it won't let me do it.

Any help would be sooooooooo very greatly appreciated.
