Setting Outlook to go to News- WLM instead of WM

Outlook 2007 with VISTA Ultimate 64-bit with all updates

OutLook allows the menu to be customized by adding a "News" item.

However it only seems to allow it to use Windows Mail. Anyone know how I
can change this so the customized News menu item will go to Windows Live
Mail as the newsreader?

You can't. WM is hard-coded apparently....

Are you sure it's hard-coded?

On an XP computer with OE and WLM installed, it allows me to go to OE so it
would seem to have some selection process.

Yes. Windows Mail is NOT the same as Windows LIVE Mail. Windows Mail only
comes with Vista. On Vista, WM is hard-coded as the newsreader invoked by
the Outlook "News" command...

OK, thank you.

Interestingly, on Win 7 RC, as there is no mail or news client included, I
installed WLM to use as news reader but that appears not to give the Go-
News function in Outlook 2007...
