Setting an email reminder for someone else, if...

If a user sets an reminder for someone else when sending an email to ensure
follow up, but is then removed from the Exchange Server a few days later,
will the reminder still work even though the user who set it doesn't exist
anymore?

In this particular case: Email shall be sent end of September 2009, Reminder
shall be set for, May 2010. The user who set up the reminder is removed from
the Exchange Server in October 2009. Will receiptians of the email with the
reminder be reminded in May 2010?

Yes, as the reminder will be for the receiver's side if I understood your
case correctly.
