Set/Change sort order in file/open dialogs

Somehow the sort order in my file/open and file/save dialogs has changed
from a standard a-z order to a z-a order. I think it first happened after I
downloaded the updated eBay graphics upload ActiveX software, but I am not
100% sure of that. I can change the order back on a case by case basis, but
that setting does not save.

Is there a reg setting that sets the sort order used by these dialogs? BTW,
all my other windows, dialogs, etc. still sort normally, its only the
file/open and save dialogs that have changed...

If you double click on the top header of the name column-or any column, it will reverse the order.

Try holding down the Control key when you close the open/save dialogue. That
should save the windows settings... if not you could try the Tools-> folder
options-> view, and when set up right, click APPLY TO ALL FOLDERS. That
might (or might not) fix you. Hopefully one of these works for you, I
haven't tested it, I'm just going on memory and my memory isn't always that
reliabubble
