Whoever,

I read something that stated that to help reduce getting a
virus/worm (as I did) through the internet (I was
downloading Windows Updates) that it would help to disable
excess/unused/unneeded services. I have not seen any list
of services that can be stopped/disables on a home PC. I
am not connecting to any aother systems other than through
the WWW. Example. Do I need to have the following services
running? Server, Workststion, Remote Registry - that alone
is a dangerous service to have enabled - Messenger.......
and many others.

Thank you for you help
