my computer says the following: Files that are required
for windows to run properly have been replaced by
unrecognized versions. To maintain systen stabilty,
Windows must restore the original versions of these files.
Insert your Windows XP home edition Sevice Pack 1 CD now.

I have an emachine T1840 it already had xp on it whenIi
got it. I had that Blast virus and was able to go to
microsoftupdates.com (once I insalled my firewall) and
updated. The service pack one said to remove and do by
itself, which I did. Now I get this message can you
help? Thanks

Go to Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter. In the resulting
Command Prompt window, type: SFC /SCANNOW , and hit enter.
You may be prompted to insert your Windows CD in the CD Drive.

SFC = System File Checker. SFC will scan your system and replace missing
or damaged XP system files with the correct version.
