Service Pack Support?

At what point will Microsoft discontinue support for Windows 2000.
Currently on Service Pack 4 for WIN 2K Pro, is there a service pack limit
they place on issue to the public before they force everyone to the next
level, in my case XP. Win 2000 and XP appear to remain very popular
selections for an OS.
