Service Pack 2

Has anybody had the mofortune of trying to install Service Pack 2 from CD and
have it not install due to Errors. (Extraction Failed ) file corrupt SP2

It can happen some of the time. First, do a clean download of SP2 from
Microsoft. Using a broadband connection is a must in order to do it in
one swweep...the file is around 280 MB long. Second, extract it to its
own clean folder. Re-install. And as for the CD, check it for scratches
and also clean the CD lens. This might also cure the extraction error.

Well have tried to download but windows update will not let me. Also the one
time I did get it to load on C it had a Cannot find Setup.dll error then
click ok and it shuts off. Just got done doing a clean install of windows xp.
And still the same.
