Service Pack 1 - Error

Whenever install service pack 1 it gives me an error at the end of it. It says "Incorrect path" and then another message pops up and says that I need to do a restore with the restore diskette because windows will not operate correctly. I have tried installing the service pack twice after reformatting my computer each time.
