Sent messages disappeared from Outlook

My sent messages were always saved up until about last week. I have checked
the appropriate boxes in email set up to have sent messages saved in Sent
messages file, but nothing shows up. I had messages appearing (but two weeks
old) and our IT person had me download Office Service Pack 2 and then the
sent messages under the sent messages folder disappeared. I removed all of
Office 2003 and then reloaded, but nothing changed. All of my previous
settings were saved when I went into Outlook after reloading. Any other
places I could be trying

Look at your View settings, Arrange by, current view. It could be set to show
New Messages. Change it to All Messages.

I looked at my view settings, but nothing showed as new messages, just
messages or messages with auto preview. Any more ideas?

Hi,

I am having a similar problem. All of a sudden Outlook stopped saving new
sent messages. It will save a new reply message but any new messages I send
out I have to CC myself because they are not getting saved.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This can happen when the Sent Items folder is too full.

Thank You Brian. I emptied out her folder and it fixed the problem for 3
days and then it went back to not saving. She hasnt built up that many since
I cleaned out the folder. Is there a default amount of mail for that folder
that maybe can be changed/

Thanks

No, but sometimes moving the folder to another location can help. Also make
sure your Outlook is up-to-date on service packs.
