sending email

I continually get the following message when sending some emails. It will
sometimes correct itself if I reboot, but not all the time.

503 Valid RCPT command must precede DATA

How do I get rid of this once and for all.

Thank you

Put a valid email address in the "To:" field.

it's funny you should say that, but I am putting a valid address in. In fact, I was using the reply button for this particular address and it won't go through. I have even retyped the address to make sure.
It has gone through before, but not now.

Well, I have no idea which email program you are using (odds say, "MS
Outlook XX", but MSOE users are known to post questions here; and,
sometimes, even other third party client users). What I do know is that many
client will accept an email address which is not proper formatted to "RFC
822" format (many servers still refer to that RFC, though it has been
superseded twice: RFC 2822, more recently, RFC 5322).

Your SMTP message submission server is reporting that there is no "RFC 822"
compliant email address in the "RCPT TO:" stage of the message submission.
All that Outlook is doing is passing that message back to you. So something
is not right with the email address format Outlook is sending to the server.
