I have been using aol and now have Vista. Am unable to setup e-mail accounts
in Windows using any others except aol. I am getting the error message:
POP3 cannot be found, socket error 11004, Port 110, protocol POP. Requested
name is valid but no data of requested type was found. Help please.

POP3 is not a valid server name. What happens when you use it depends on
what
your internet provider does with invalid server names. Ask your other email
providers for their instructions for setting up to use their email servers.
If they
haven't written instructions for Windows Mail yet, their instructions for
Outlook
Express should also work under Windows Mail as long as they don't call for
the HTTP protocol. The instructions are probably somewhere on their web
site.
Or, you could tell us who your other email providers are and see if anyone
here
already knows where to find the instructions.

Go to the Hotmail site and find the mail setup information for your mail
client.
