As above you need to choose compress pictures in the picture toolbar

If you are really stuck with a huge file try using winzip to send split files.

yep did that a while ago. so still don't understand why it won't work?!

That depends on which "it" you mean. "it" as in "reducing the size of a WAV file by
converting from stero to mono" or something else?

Have you removed the original WAV file and inserted the smaller (mono) one instead?
