Send Picture Via Email

My Send Picture Via Email dialog box doesn't pop up so I can resize my
photos for emailing.
I have tried the suggestion, Start-Run-regsvr32 shimgvw.dll but it
didn't fix it. I also went to folders-options-multimedia and made sure
everything was correct. What do I do now to fix it?

Try the following command to
force a reinstall.

Enter...... regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll
(yes, the space after the 2 and the space
after the i is required)

Press...Enter...

You should see a dialog box that says:
DllRegisterServer and DllInstall in shimgvw.dll succeeded

I did and the dialog box came up and said it had succeeded. When I shut

down, restarted and went to check it out, the Send Pictures Via Email
dialog box still didn't pop up. What should I try next?

Please don't say edit the registery. I am leary about the registery but
if that is what you suggest be very specific. I have never tried it but
I am ready to try anything.

Are these .jpg image files?

If they're not .jpg...what is the extension?

Thanks for the update.

Editing the registry may be your
solution...first, try the following
steps...just observe and report
your findings.

Go to...Start / Run...

Type > regedit <

Press "Enter"

In your...Registry Editor...click the
+ just to the left of:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT

Scroll down to: JPEG and left click
the folder icon...

In your right pane...what is entered in
the "Data" column just to the right of
"Perceived Type"?

I followed your instructions. After I clicked the JPEG
folder icon the right pain showed the following: Name,
(Default) - Type, SZ - Data - (value not set). I
didn't see anything about "preceived type"
