Security warning - access 2002

Hi,
I'm aware that if you receive the warning "This file may not be safe...."
that the setting can be changed using Tools/Macro/Security to "Low" using A
2003. How do I get around this warning message for A 2002?
Thanks,

Graeme

Hi, Graeme.
How do I get around this warning message for A 2002?

It's not the same security warning as Access 2003 gives. Office XP checks
the network for security, not the individual database file's digital
certificate if the macro security level is not set to low.

Does this problem database have linked tables that are linked using an IP
address (\\123.123.123.1\SharedDir) or a fully qualified domain name
(\\ComputerName.OurDomain.com\SharedDir), instead of the Unified Naming
Convention (UNC) (\\ComputerName\SharedDir), or a hard-coded mapped drive
(T:\SharedDir)?

Those pesky little periods in the path name confuse the Office XP security
system.

HTH.

Thanks for that,
I found that my client actually does have A2003 after all, so that sorts out
the problem.
Cheers,
Graeme
